2026
New year.
Fresh start.
New goals.
It's almost cliché how predictable we all become at this time of year, setting resolutions and planning our next moves.
But there's a reason for it - these calendar anchor points work with our psychology, giving us a clear moment to begin something new.
Here's how I plan to make 2026 the best year yet.
The Visual Map

I map everything out on a whiteboard.
A visual flow of how I envision the business to run.
Once it's on the board, I can see the whole the big picture at a glance.
Breaking It Down
Then throughout the year, I break it down by asking one simple question:
"What's the most important thing I can do this day/week/month?"
Not everything.
Not ten things.
One thing.
The task that, if completed, makes everything else easier or unnecessary.
That's it. That's the system.
And it's likely in 12 months time when I look back at my whiteboard vision that 50% of it doesn't even get done.
Because when you take action things change.
And you need to be flexible with your plans.
And abandon what isn't working.
That's the secret to building a startup!
