999% YouTube growth (here’s the system behind it)
Earlier this year, I stopped posting on YouTube.
I hated losing momentum, but I was stuck on a hamster wheel - creating and posting videos same-day just to keep up with the algorithm.
It was exhausting.
Unsustainable.
And honestly?
The quality was suffering.
So I made a decision:
either build a proper YouTube system, or quit entirely.
We built the system.
The Results
We’re now posting 4-6 long-form videos per week, plus shorts most days.
And my involvement is the same or less than when I was struggling to post 1-2 videos per week.
The difference? Systems and automation.
System #1: Idea Generation
We generate video ideas from newsletters and other YouTube creators using simple N8N automations that push ideas into Airtable for review.
No more staring at a blank screen wondering “what should I make a video about?”
The ideas flow in automatically. I just review and approve.
System #2: Post-Production Assets
Once videos are recorded, we have an automation that creates all YouTube assets from the transcript:
- Video titles
- Descriptions
- Timestamps
- Thumbnail ideas
- Social media posts
- Shorts scripts (though I haven’t recorded those yet… oops)
What used to take 2-3 hours per video now takes 10 minutes of review time.
System #3: AI Tools Reviews (Secret Sauce)
We’ve built a system for our AI tool reviews using HeyGen that I’m not revealing all the details on yet.
But here’s what I’ll say: these videos I’m completely hands-off.
All I do is review them before they go live.
The Physical System Matters Too
It’s not just digital systems that make this work.
I keep my workspace set up so there are zero barriers to hitting record.
All I do is turn on the camera and lighting, connect the mic, and start recording. No setup time.
No friction.
The Real Secret: Removing Barriers
Most people think consistency is about willpower or discipline.
It’s not. It’s about removing barriers.
Every minute of setup time is a reason to procrastinate.
Every decision you have to make is a chance to quit.
Remove the barriers, and consistency becomes easy.
And consistency is what makes you grow.
999% Growth in Context
Look, I’m not pretending we’re a massive channel.
We’re still building.
But 999% growth proves the system works.
We went from posting inconsistently with low engagement to posting consistently with growing momentum.
The content improved.
The production got faster.
And most importantly, I’m not burned out anymore.
What You Can Learn From This
You don’t need my exact systems. But you need some system.
Ask yourself:
- What’s stopping you from creating consistently?
- What barriers exist between “I should make content” and “content is published”?
- What could be automated or systematized to make your process smoother?
Then build the system that removes those barriers.
Because the businesses winning with content aren’t the ones with the most talent or the biggest budgets.
They’re the ones that can consistently show up, week after week, without burning out.
That’s what systems give you.
